Dear Sisters,
Thank you for the information. Our School here in Mindanao will be sending our donations through our Bishop Galido of Iligan City Philippines. We have collected from the students and faculty and from our SchoolFunds to help in a minimal amount for the people of Haiti. Our school Holy Cross High School in Kolambugan had a recent fire last January 9th the whole convent and part of the school building burned down. Thank God our Sisters are safe. So we are also helping raise fund for Holy Cross High School and the Sister are staying with us in Mercy Junior College Tubod, Lanao del Norte, Mindnao, Philippines.
So let us pray for one another as we faced the challenges in 2010.

From the 1st day of that tragic earthquake in Haiti, I couldn't stop reading about it and praying to God for special favors to the victims. I remembered our own tragedies in the Philippines, and my heart kept pounding everytime I opened the daily newspapers and my computer unit for news. We, in the Philippines, can easily sympathize with those experiencing tragedies as we closely identify ourselves being economically poor and unluckily within typhoon belt, ring of fire (volcanoes) and fault lines, etc., etc. Therefore, we offer our deep sympathy to the victims as we unite with Mercy World in prayer. I have read in our local daily newspapers about Volunteers from the Philippines who are going to Haiti to help. Please God, theirs will be of great help to the poor earthquake victims in Haiti.
